My first (technically 2nd) post!! so exciting! I thought I should start with the fact that yes, I do ride, and the horse that I ride is a quarter horse and he is 16 hands tall.  I ride western, I have never fallen off, (i don't think) and no, the horse I ride is not mine. oh, where to start! how about the basics. a hand is 4 inches, and we measure them from their hoof to their withers. (or shoulder.) the saddle goes on their back, you control them with reins connected to the bit, connected to the bridle (which goes on their head). the cinch (or girth, if you ride English) is connected to the saddle and goes around their tummy to hold the saddle on, they also wear shoes, but not like ours, they look like a u without the fancy tails on the tips and the bottom. halters are like bridles without the browband, (which goes across their forehead), and the bit, (which goes in their mouth). well, that just about covers the basics! next time we will go over the basic grooming supplies. Gracias por leer! (thank you for reading in Spanish) byeeeee!

Welcome!!!!

Hello, my name is Brielle Lawles and this is my blog. It could not have been possible without my amazing brother. This blog will be entirely about horses because I love them, and they are SO cool! I hope that you will enjoy this blog as much as I enjoyed making it. What I hope you will think when you read this is 'I think I may be able to learn something from this.' enjoy! 🐎🐴
